“It’s been great working with you this year and it’s changed my perspective on training. I generally just push myself, wanting to burn calories and really ‘feel’ the workout. Previously, I didn’t focus on things like posture, breathing, technique and form. You’ve really helped me change that and shift focus. You’ve also opened my eyes a little to wellness and listening to your body and mind. This year’s been tough and by trying to be kinder to myself, I think my body is starting to reset and my hormones are getting a little more balanced.” – Aine
My programmes are designed to be versatile and adaptable. Weights are great but not always the right tool. New mums, frazzled workers or those coming out of a long-term illness often need to begin with a body scan and yoga to reconnect with their bodies and somatic tools to release trauma.
It’s an assessment we can make when we speak, based on my experience in multiple physical health and wellness techniques, from yoga, mindfulness, NLP and animal flow through to strength and conditioning, corrective exercises, callisthenics and lymphatic drainage.
My personal training rates, based on an hours’ session are as follows:
1 session per week: £75 per session
2 sessions per week: £70 per session
Small group classes (max 4) includes initial individual 60 minute consultation and movement
1 class per week £30 per session
2 classes per week £25 per session
“The main thing that really helped me was the work on my back and posture. You’re clearly very focused on technical side of PT and making sure that your clients do the exercises right (instead of e.g. just increasing the weight for the sake of lifting more at the expense of the correct posture/movements). I stand/sit up a lot straighter now, which is really helpful considering I have a desk job. I do think this helps me when playing hockey (and sports
more generally) as well. I also feel more confident using some of the machines in the gym on my own, as I actually know what to do now.” – Sophie
Every individual is different. My life isn’t your life and what worked for me may not be exactly right for you. My tailored style of training draws on the eclectic array of techniques and influences I’ve learned, to create a system or style tailored to your body, goals and lifestyle.
At the heart of it all is a system I call Mindful Movement and Strength Training, rooted in posture, breath and technique. The focus here is you and what you bring mentally, physically and spiritually – if your dragging your body through your life and your goal is to sweat, maybe we need to change tack to get the best out of you overall? Using a combination of
hard and fast body transformation techniques alongside the gentler, more holistic understanding of the body, meditation and yoga we will get you exploring your capacity and build your strength.
A consistent approach is the key – no matter how you are feeling, ring fence this time for you to heal and develop into the best version of yourself. This mindful approach will mean that you will always feel nourished and refreshed after each session and harness that power throughout your everyday life.
I believe that wellness is awareness. By screening your movement patterns and habits, we’ll reveal stresses, tensions, weaknesses and compensations in your body. Then we can introduce small adjustments to rectify these issues and build your inner strength.
Your programme will embed powerful techniques that you can put into practice every day to effect lasting change. We can’t fix all your problems in a couple of weekly workouts: it’s when the techniques become habits that the real changes start to take shape… and quickly.
Working with the breath, correcting posture, mobilising joints and mindful muscle training all come together to set the programme structure. The results can be revelatory. Movements that have been neglected for years get reignited. Your body pays back in dividends. Feeling newly empowered and rejuvenated, you’ll find yourself working out because you want to, not because you need to.
“I started working with Raha as I needed an extra push to get back into exercise as well assistance in losing weight and improving my fitness levels. Although a little nervous meeting for the first time and explaining the difficulties I was experiencing such as finding going up stairs difficult, being incredibly out of breath once I reached the top and feeling at a low ebb, we sat down and discussed my goals, diet and how we could reach these goals. During our sessions, Raha would push and encourage me to show me that I am actually a lot stronger than I originally thought and with that positivity and encouragement I have come on leaps and bounds. Since the start of our working together I have nearly lost 4.5 stone in weight, have found energy which I never had before, am seeing the results of muscle tone and finding a long lost confidence as well as an enthusiasm for exercise again. Thank you Raha!” – Emma
I grew up loving sport and trained hard in gymnastics, ballet and karate and was a silver medallist in the British Ryobu-Kai Championships in 1999. This helped me to practise discipline and build strong physical foundations from a young age.
Then life, as it does, got in the way. My university years were marred by illness and I spent a large part of my 20s in and out of hospital. Whenever I tried to get back into sport, I got injured. Every setback chipped away at my mental health. Increasingly impatient and desperate, I tried all kinds of quick-fix diets, therapies and training methods.
None worked (they never do!) and my feelings of frustration grew. So, I looked elsewhere for results. My physical health stagnated as I ploughed my energies into making a success of my production company and tech start-up. I satisfied myself with the illusion of professional success at the expense of my health and wellbeing.
I almost believed in it for a while. It was only when I had my son, with the after-effects of pregnancy and the keenly-felt responsibilities of motherhood, that I realised I’d left behind the life and priorities I truly cared about.
I realised the fatigue and weakness I felt wasn’t who I was; it was just where I’d ended up. So I set about rebuilding myself from scratch, creating a programme focused on three hours a day of mind-body work. The foundation was an hour of breathwork, yoga, dance and weights. I didn’t rush or look for instant results. Three weeks in I was fitter, lighter, rejuvenated and more confident. My passion for wellness was reignited but also, crucially, enhanced to encompass mental and emotional strength, as well as the physical.
This feeling of holistic strength was so powerful, I knew I’d found my calling in life. Since then I have continued to build my knowledge through study, workshops, certification and contacts. Now I work with some of the most effective tools, trainers, nutritionists and therapists around to help other’s benefit from the comprehensive approach to wellness that
transformed my life and to be able to offer this is priceless.
I’d love to help you experience your own unique version of the journey I’ve been through. It starts with a simple phone call or email.

“Initially I was looking to do a few sessions with Raha to get back into the rhythm of regular exercise and build my confidence outside of a gym class. I have loved it so much that over a year later I am still going!
It didn’t matter that I didn’t have a specific goal in mind as Raha very quickly worked out which areas I needed to work on. She continues to tweak my workouts when she notices something is not quite working for me, my exercise regime is tailored to me.
She is very interested in her client’s overall wellbeing and strength, so I have felt very supported in adapting my exercise routine when health or work has required it. And, importantly, she is a pleasure to be around. I do not generally find exercise fun, but I love going to my PT sessions!” – Lauren
“I was impressed that Raha tuned straight into what I needed and, as a result, my PT sessions with her are focused and effective. Raha’s ability to adjust each session to accommodate how I am feeling that week has also been helpful and the avoids the frustration of my feeling demoralised if my energy levels are limited on a given day. Raha’s instructions are straight forward and she always pays attention to the small adjustments needed, including those that I would be unlikely to identify myself. My training sessions feel like a very worthwhile investment and I am becoming increasingly confident as I work to develop strength and stamina following a long illness.” – Theresa
“When I started personal training with Raha in May 2019, I could hardly lift any weight. I struggled with 2kg bicep curls and anything over 4kg was a no go.
In 2 months of training, I was able to start lifting more weight and stopping less during my reps. I can now even shoulder press 10kg in each hand, which is a miracle considering where I started.
She helps me focus and pushes me to help me get the most out of my workouts every week. She knows I have so much more in me than I sometimes give and she pushes me to go that extra mile. When I’m feeling a bit rubbish, she’ll modify my workout to make sure I don’t injure myself, so we might do lighter weights or a stretching session.
She has really helped to build my confidence in the gym, as well as helped me motivate myself to do more workouts outside of our sessions.” – Niamh
“I started training twice a week with Raha on my return to work after my second maternity leave. Working with Raha has been amazing. She has helped me focus on so much more than my physical health – incorporating breath work, adjustments to my eating habits and routine to maximise productivity as well building up my strength and muscles. I always look forward to our sessions and really enjoy the way she pushes me to be strong both in body and mind. She has an in-depth knowledge of lots of disciplines (such as yoga, healthy eating, women’s health) which means that my work outs are varied and have me as a ‘whole person’ – not just a gym goer in mind. But I’ve also had fantastic results and I am excited about what is ahead – I’ve come to realise that where I’ve gone wrong in the past is expecting instant results rather than creating long lasting habits and I’ve been grateful to Raha to help me work towards being a happier, healthier person!” – Sophie
